With reference to your telegram of the 15th.

May, 1918, I have the honour to forward for the signification

of His Majesty's pleasure the following Ordinance intituled:-

An Ordinance to provide that with certain exceptions

no person shall reside within the Peak District

without the consent of the Governor in Council.

No. 8 of 1918.

The report of the Attorney-General enclosed

explains the object of the Ordinmce.

3. The bill passed through all its stages in the

Legislative Council without any comment or opposition.
